HOW It Works

From application to the end of the year.  This isn't a course. It's a complete immersion into building and running a championship high school basketball program  alongside a championship coach who takes this as seriously as you do.  You MUST BE COMMITTED

APPLY & INTERVIEW

Submit your application and we'll schedule a 30-minute interview with Steve. This isn't gatekeeping — it's fit-finding. Steve wants to know your program, your goals, and what you need most from this year.

GET ACCEPTED & ONBOARD

If it's a fit, you'll receive your acceptance, get access to the private community, and complete a deep onboarding questionnaire so Steve understands your program before Day 1.

SCHEDULE FIRST SESSION

You'll have scheduled private sessions with Steve throughout the year, plus access during office hours. Text access for time-sensitive questions during the season.

JOIN THE COMMUNITY

The private group stays active year-round. Share film clips, practice plans, tough decisions. Learn as much from the other 9 coaches as you do from Steve.

YEAR END GOAL SETTING

In Month 12, Steve works with you directly to document what you've built, what changed in your program, and what your next year looks like. You leave with a real roadmap.

FREQUENTLY Asked

Is this only for head coaches?

Head coaches are the primary audience, but assistant coaches who want to be a head coach or on a clear path to their own head coaching role will also be considered.  The interview is where Steve will determine fit, not the application form.

What State or region is this for?

F\Nationwide. This is fully virtual. Steve has worked with coaches from across the country through TeachHoops and welcomes applicants regardless of geography.  Only one coach from a specific region.

Is there a refund policy?

Because of the format and the personal time Steve invests, refunds are not available after the program begins. Steve takes the interview process seriously precisely to ensure mutual fit before any payment is made.

Are there any in person coaching?

This program is currently fully virtual to allow for consistency and flexibility. You will receive invitations to any live events or clinics where Steve is speaking, and there may be opportunities to bring him to your location for on-site coaching or program evaluation.

What happens if I can't make  a live session?

 All sessions are recorded and available to the cohort. That said, live attendance is strongly encouraged — the discussion and group dynamic are a big part of the value.

How many 1 on 1 sessions are there?

The program includes dedicated 1-on-1 time with Steve at key points in the year. Exact scheduling is coordinated during onboarding based on your program calendar and priorities.  Steve will give you cell phone number and personal email address

Will there be a year 2?

Possibly. Steve will evaluate interest and capacity after the first cohort completes. Year 1 members will have first access and input on the format of any future cohorts.

Steve will personally interview every applicant. He's looking for coaches who are coachable, committed, and ready to do the work — not just collect information.

You're currently coaching  and have real skin in the game  players, a program, a community depending on you

 FULL-YEAR COMMITMENT 

This is a 12-month program. Steve is investing deeply in you he expects the same in return. Attendance, engagement, and follow-through are required.

OPEN TO BEING CHALLENGED 

Steve will push you. The best coaches in the cohort will push you too. If you're looking for validation, this isn't it. If you're looking to grow, you're in the right place.
